PUBG New State players can store weapons, loot items in vehicle trunks!
PUBG New State is just a week away and Krafton has already started teasing new features. One of the latest ones is the “Trunk” feature, which is new to the PUBG universe. Demonstrated over a video, this feature allows you to use vehicles as additional moving storage for your weapons and loot items. This is a big convenience for those playing with their squad mates.
The Trunk feature will be available to all PUBG New State features from Day 1. As the video demonstrates, players will be able to store all their loot and weapons in the trunk of a vehicle. To access this inventory, players will need to approach the truck of the vehicle, or sit inside it.
PUBG New State makes vehicle trunks useful!
One of the use cases for the Trunk feature was nicely demonstrated in the video shared by PUBG New State's YouTube channel. In the case of you bringing back your squad mate from the dead with a Green Flare Gun, you can share nearest collected loot via the Trunk. Your restored mate can pick up the gear and loot directly from the trunk of the vehicle.
Not only that, there's another scenario for this to be useful. You can use the trunk feature to exchange weapons and loot items with other players in the vehicle while driving. In the event of a combat, one can also use the vehicle as a supply source for meds and other crucial weapons. Players will now see a “Trunk” button while driving or approaching a vehicle.
Krafton has only shown the Trunk feature active for cars and off-roaders. It remains to be seen whether Trunk will be available on aerial vehicles and two wheelers in the game.
With Trunk, the gameplay experience is likely to change drastically for long-time PUBG Mobile/BGMI players. It remains to be seen whether Krafton brings this feature to BGMI in future updates.
