Sea of Thieves Pirates of the Caribbean crossover: This popular, open-world, first-person action multiplayer game that lets users explore the seas and “live the pirate life” with battles and looting galore, has announced the arrival of a new and exciting season. The changes to the game that are expected to arrive will be in the form of the Sea of Thieves: Season Three update. However, the biggest announcement related to the upcoming update is a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover featuring popular characters from the movie, according to the developer Rare's website.

Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean series has been popular with audiences across the world, with amazing characters such as Captain Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones and Hector Barbossa, Elizabeth Swann, and Will Turner providing spectacular action sequences and shocking turnarounds. According to the Sea of Thieves website, the developers worked with the Walt Disney Games team to deliver a new original story that brings Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones to the Sea of Thieves game.

Sea of Thieves: Pirates of the Caribbean crossover details

The announcement was made on the game's official website, which states “After rescuing Captain Jack Sparrow from an unfortunate predicament, you'll set sail alongside him to uncover secrets, encounter characters old and new, and clash with surprising enemies as you explore the Sea of Thieves.” The new season will also bring new element types, these have spread across the in-world game from Tall Tales. Instead of skeletons and sharks, games will have to deal with “swarming Sirens, darting Phantoms and brutish Ocean Crawlers” according to the developers.

Sea of Thieves: Season Three release date, pricing and availability

According to the Sea of Thieves developer website, the new update will roll out to all players as part of our Season Three update which will arrive on Tuesday, June 22. “This unforgettable adventure takes place over five Tall Tales charting a new threat to the pirate way of life from beyond the horizon.” The company has advised existing players to keep an eye on its social media channels for more information about the upcoming update before it lands on June 22.
