If you have lost your physical PAN card, you can download an e-PAN from NSDL with simple tips.
Like Aadhaar card, PAN card is also a very crucial document which is used as a valid photo ID proof. From opening a bank account to various other purposes, a PAN card is required. Hence losing it might land you into trouble. If you lost your physical PAN card, you can avail an e-PAN. e-PAN works similar to a physical PAN card and can be used for all the financial transactions and domains where it is mandatory to provide a PAN. Those who have a valid Aadhaar number and a registered mobile number linked to the Aadhaar can avail the e-PAN. It must be noted that only they can apply for e-PAN who don't have a physical PAN card. As per provisions of Section 272B of the Income Tax Act., 1961, a penalty of Rs. 10,000 can be levied on possession of more than one PAN.

To download an e-PAN card, first visit the official portal of NSDL https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/requestAndDownloadEPAN.html.
On the homepage, click on the Apply for PAN and enter your required details. Next, tick the declaration box and submit the captcha.
Preview all the necessary details of your PAN appeared on the screen. Now click on any one mode for PAN verification. After that tick the declaration box and click on generate OTP.
Validate the OTP and click on Continue With Paid E-PAN Download Facility.
Now, select any one payment gateway and click on the option to confirm payment.
Pay Rs. 9 as a processing fee. After successful payment, Click on the Continue option.
After the payment receipt will be generated, click on Download e PAN. Your e-Pan card will be downloaded to your mobile phone or PC.
