JioPhone Next: How to find out when the new phone will hit a store near you

After months of speculation and rumours, Reliance Jio's latest smartphone, the JioPhone Next is finally here. The smartphone, which the carrier has created in partnership with Google, takes on popular brands like Samsung, Realme, Xiaomi and others to offer a device with capable specs and packed with software features under the 10,000 rupees mark. After missing the first launch deadline, which was on Ganesh Chaturthi, the company had revealed that the phone would launch in time for Diwali. Therefore, customers will now be able to buy the JioPhone from stores starting on Thursday, November 4.

JioPhone Next Specs

The JioPhone Next is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215, with 2GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The smartphone has a 5.45-inch HD+ display which comes with a 8MP selfie camera, while the rear side sports a 13MP primary camera equipped with a flash. The device runs Pragati OS, based on Android and was created in partnership with Google.

Jio has priced the new JioPhone Next smartphone at ₹6,499 which can be paid in one go or through EMIs over 1.5 to two years (18 months and 24 months) and the smartphone appears to be targeted at feature phone users (from rival telcos) who are holding out from upgrading to 4G smartphones, as well as those using older JioPhone smartphones. If customers take up the JioPhone Next offers, then they can take it home with a downpayment of 1999 rupees and an EMI of 300 rupees.

How to find out when JioPhone Next will drop into retail store near you

If you are interested in checking when the JioPhone Next will be available in a store near you, you can follow these steps on Jio's website to receive a notification about availability for the smartphone.

Step 1) Visit the telco's website, jio.com and click on the new JioPhone Next message at the top.

Step 2) Now click on the ‘I am interested option and enter your name and number. You will have to read and agree to the terms and conditions as well.

Step 3) Now generate an OTP, enter it on the website and continue.

Step 4) Now you will have to enter your personal information, which includes your PIN code and locality.

Step 5) Check your SMS inbox for a message that says you will now receive a notification when the JioPhone Next is available at a nearby store.
