The new Google dark theme has started rolling out to a few users. The notable part is that the dark theme is even darker now. If you want it, here is how to enable Google dark theme.

Paint it black! Yes, you can make your screen even darker now. Google is likely to roll out its new dark theme to all users soon. The new Google dark theme will be available for desktop, mobile, and other gadgets too. However, it may take some time to reach you as the release has been slow so far. According to a 9to5Google report, some users have already started experiencing the new Google dark theme. If you have used the previous Google Dark mode, then you will know that it was actually a shade of Gray. The new dark mode is pure black. The report mentioned that Google is right now testing this new complete black dark theme for desktop web search. Also, other colours for the search links and pages are supposed to be slightly bolder and less muted.

The new dark mode seems a gift for those who wanted to have a true black dark mode on Google search to save on battery of their devices. Google is likely to make this a personal choice for users for their Google search functionality and they can themselves decide whether they like the complete black dark mode or the gray dark theme, 9to5Google said. The change in Google search dark theme is currently appearing for only a few users, but not all. The rollout doesn't seem specific to any operating system. How to enable Dark theme on Google

Step 1:

Go to the Google search on your computer

Step 2:

Sign in to your Google Account to have the same search settings across all desktop browsers. To do so, click on ‘Sign in’ in the top right corner. 

Step 3:

Now at the top left, click on settings and then tap See all Settings.

Step 4:

Click on the Appearance option available on the left. 

Step 5:

You will see the options to choose between Dark theme and Light theme. 

Step 6:

Tap on the Dark theme to enable it. 

Step 7:

Now finally, tap on the Save button at the bottom. And it’s done! Your theme will be updated to dark now.
