Dell launches XPS 13, XPS 15 (2020) in India: Prices start at ₹1.4 lakhs

Dell today introduced its latest XPS laptops in India - XPS 13 and XPS 15 (2020) models. While the new XPS 15 starts at ₹1,86,072, the more compact XPS 13 is priced at ₹1,44,807 for the base model. Both will also be made available starting July 8th via Amazon India. The highlight of these new laptops are the Intel 10th-gen Core processors and of course the InfinityEdge display with minimal bezels on all the four sides.
While the XPS 13 is being targeted at general users and those who want a powerful laptop that also look sleek and premium, the XPS 15 is being said to be more for artists and creators - those with heavy use.
The Dell XPS 13 (9300) has a 13.4-inch InfinityEdge display, which as Dell claims, is fit inside an 11-inch form factor. The screen is said to be 6.8% larger than the predecessor and has an aspect ratio of 16:10 with 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. The panel has up to 4K resolution with 500-nits brightness levels and 100% sRGB colour gamut. There's also a 0.65% anti-reflective coating so the viewing experience is not hindered with light glares.
The firm claims its Dell XPS 13 delivers up to 18 hours 49 minutes of runtime on an FHD+ configuration. The 4K screen version is said to run for 10 hours, 16 minutes.
As for the design, the XPS 13 is made using materials like machined aluminum, carbon fiber, woven glass fiber and hardened Corning Gorilla Glass in order to make it look good and keep it lightweight as well. You could get this in two colour variants - Platinum Silver with Black Carbon Fiber palm rest and Frost with arctic white woven glass fiber palm rest.
The Dell XPS 15 (2020) version has a 15.6-inch InfinityEdge display 92.9% screen to body ratio and 16:10 aspect ratio. The device comes with up to 4K resolution panel that has 100% Adobe RGB and 94% DCIP 3 color gamut alongside 500-nits brightness levels. A variant also gets a Dolby Vision certified panel.
On the audio front, the new XPS 15 has quad-speaker design with built in Waves Nx 3D audio tech. As we mentioned earlier, this laptop is powered by Intel 10th-gen Core processor. However, the laptop can be configured with up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics. As mentioned by Dell, the XPS 15 is supposed to deliver up to 21 hours of battery backup.
This is only available in Platinum Silver with Black Carbon Fiber palm rest.
