iPhone SE 4 cancelled! Here is the BIGGEST winner; Check shocking claim
Famous Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that if the iPhone SE 4 is cancelled, the biggest winner will not be Samsung or Google, but an entirely different company.
Even till last week, rumours around the iPhone SE 4 were going strong. Some sources said that the smartphone would be launched in 2024. But now, it appears that the iPhone SE 3 successor might never see the light of the day. Yes, iPhone SE 4 has been cancelled! If this does come to pass, it could mean that the entire iPhone SE variant is being killed off. This iPhone SE 4 latest news comes from popular Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo, who has recently revealed this shocking information, to the dismay of iPhone SE enthusiasts. But there is more to the story. According to Kuo, if the iPhone SE 4 is cancelled, the biggest winner will not be Samsung or Google, but a third unexpected entity. Read on for details.
On January 6, Kuo posted in his blog to make this shocking claim. He said, "The supply chain has received instructions from Apple indicating that the production and shipment plans for the 2024 iPhone SE 4 have been cancelled rather than delayed". While this was saddening, the shocking bit was who Kuo believed to gain the most from this outcome. In a tweet, he revealed, "[Update] Qualcomm is the biggest winner of Apple's cancellation of 2024 iPhone SE 4".
Kuo claims Qualcomm wins big if iPhone SE 4 is killed off
In his blog post, Kuo explained further that the initial plan for Apple was to launch its baseband chip in 2024 and let the low-end iPhone SE 4 adopt it first. This would enable Apple to monitor and decide whether the home-grown 5G modem chipset was good enough to be deployed into its 2024 iPhone 16. But insiders believe that the chipset was not ready to even be tested in the low impact SE devices. As things stand, Apple will put its focus on the iPhone 16 models in 2024, according to Kuo.

"However, the cancelation of the iPhone SE 4 has significantly increased the chances of Qualcomm remaining the exclusive supplier of baseband chips for the 2H24 new iPhone 16 series, which is better than the market consensus that Qualcomm will start losing iPhone orders in 2024," he explained.
This also bolsters the upcoming 2023 and 2024 market placement for Qualcomm as Kuo expects the company to dominate the global high-end mobile phone RF segment. However, what remains to be seen is whether this would mean end for the iPhone SE or just a small hiccup before the development for the next model begins.
Do note, this information has not come from Apple or any other official sources so do take it with a pinch of salt. To really know whether the iPhone SE 4 has been cancelled or not, we will have to wait for some time, probably even till 2024. Why? Because Apple has a habit of springing pleasant surprises.
