YouTube AD-FREE on Xiaomi smartphones! Know more about this deal, how to get it

YouTube Premium membership now given for free with new Xiaomi smartphones. Here is how you can avail the deal.

YouTube is AD-FREE on Xiaomi smartphones! Not forever, but the ad-free membership plan of YouTube, called YouTube Premium, is now being given as a freebie with some of Xiaomi's latest smartphones. The offers applies to most Xiaomi and Redmi devices that have been activated by a user account starting February 2022. This will be a free trial for the YouTube Premium service that will be available to buyers, although the duration of the free trial is limited.

“Xiaomi India announces its partnership with YouTube to offer extended free trials of YouTube Premium to eligible users on select current devices. Eligible customers will receive up to three months of YouTube Premium free of charge, in a move to give users access to the best content ad-free and offline, wherever available,” says Xiaomi India in a press note. Note that the YouTube Premium plan includes several benefits such as subscription to YouTube Music Premium which also offers unlimited, ad-free access to more than 80 million official songs, live performances, covers, and remixes.

YouTube Premium free with Xiaomi devices

Xiaomi is extending the offer on most recently launched Xiaomi and Redmi devices, but the validity of the plan differs. Buyers of the Xiaomi 12 Pro will get access to three months of YouTube Premium trial. The same will be valid for all buyers of the Xiaomi 11T Pro, Xiaomi 11i, and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge.

On the other hand, the YouTube Premium trial of 2 months period is valid on devices such as the Xiaomi Pad 5, Redmi Note 11 Pro+, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11T, and Redmi Note 11S.

Note that the devices eligible in this list required to be new, or activated after February 2022. The offer will be available until January 31, 2023. Buyers can redeem the offer by opening the preloaded YouTube app, and following the instructions or by visiting youtube.com/premium.

Other than this offer, Xiaomi India is also offering a big price cut deal on the Xiaomi 12 Pro flagship. The Xiaomi 12 Pro starts at Rs. 62,999 in India at the moment. However, buyers purchasing the phone from mi.com will get a discount of Rs. 4,000. Additionally, those making the transaction via ICICI Bank cards and EMI will get a discount of Rs. 6,000. This reduces the price by Rs. 10,000, thereby making it a stellar deal.
