Aisle’s “Settle Down” feature will help users understand if and when other users want to get married
This “Settle Down” feature gives users a chance to gauge other users’ plans regarding getting married, and, settling down. As an app, this is Aisle moving beyond the dating market and entering into the matrimonial one.
Taking a step away from dating and towards more “serious” things like marriage and settling down, dating app Aisle has introduced the “Settle Down” feature for its users. As an app, Aisle wants to focus on more meaningful and long-term relationships and this new feature takes them one step closer to that idea. With the “Settle Down” feature, users now have a chance to find out if the people they have matched with are interested in getting married or not.
The new “Settle Down” feature allows users to display their plans of settling down. Users can pick if they want to settle down within the year, within two years, within three years, in more than three years, or if they are undecided. This gives their potential partners a better idea about how they are placed and what their future plans are without having to second-guess people's intentions when they match.
Aisle's Premium users can directly reply to someone's ‘Settle Down' field by sending them an invite. Aisle says that invites sent directly to a ‘Settle Down' prompt is likely to result in deeper and more meaningful conversations among users if they match.
According to the company, 44% of its users have chosen to display their “Settle Down” plans on their profiles. Early data from this new feature shows that 51% of users are looking to settle down within a year and 27% are looking to settle down within two years. Also, Aisle users between the ages of 26 and 29 have used this “Settle Down” feature the most.
