Rumors have been circling for some time that Amazon has been developing a set top box that would compete with the Apple TV and the Roku and even Google's Chromecast, and that as well as offering access to the company's huge medial library, would offer gaming too.

The internet is awash with fake imagery and concepts but the pictures were leaked from Antel, the Brazilian equivalent of the FCC and the organization to which companies must submit details of electronic devices it hopes to sell in the country.
Back in April 2013 Bloomberg first claimed that Amazon was building a set top box and leading tech site VentureBeat tipped it to launch in time for Thanksgiving.

However reports later surfaced that due to issues with the company's new Kindle tablets the launch was being pushed back to the first quarter of 2014.
As well as a set top box, Amazon is also hotly tipped to launch a music streaming service and a smartphone at some point in 2014.
