A string of tech sites has reported last weekthat Amazon was granted a new patent for a 'gravity-based link assist' system, designed to draw users' on-screen pointer towards clickable objects when it is located within a 'gravitational field' on the page.

Aimed at reducing the frustration of clicks made in eror, Amazon says it also wishes to 'enhance user experience when browsing linked content'.

While the patent was granted by USPTO February 26, this technology is still a project under review and there is no telling if Amazon will actually implement such a feature.
