Apple is hosting a special event at its Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino later tonight. The event is being considered as one of the most important Apple events so far. The company is expected to unveil new a 'service' targeted at video streaming enthusiasts. It's also expected to launch Netflix-like news and game subscription services.

How to watch Apple's special event live

Apple's special event is scheduled to begin at 10:30PM IST. You can add the event to your calendar by clicking here. Just like previous Apple events, you can watch today's event on Safari browser on your iOS device running v10 and later. Windows 10 users can watch the event on Edge browser. Apple may also allow users to stream the event on Google Chrome browser.

What to expect from Apple's special event

Apple will use the event to reinvent itself as a services company as its iPhone sales continue to decline in its key markets. At its special event, Apple will take the wraps off a new video streaming service that will take on Netflix and Amazon. Dubbed as Apple TV, the platform will give users access to content from HBO and Starz among others.

Apple is expected to launch a news subscription service which will have access to 200 magazines and newspapers. The company will also introduce a new gaming subscription service which will allow users to play games from different studios with single monthly or annual payment.
