The iPhone SE has an Apple A9 processor, 12-megapixel iSight (rear) camera with 4K video support and Apple Pay with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, from the iPhone 6s. All packed into the tiny body of the iPhone 5s. The SE claims to be a better performer in terms of battery life and speed as a by-product of having a tiny 4-inch Retina display that barely uses any resources unlike the larger ones on 6s and 6s Plus.

The iPhone SE is for people who prefer smaller screens and have been stuck to an old phone, because there simply, wan't any other option in the market. This launch puts Apple at the centre of this neglected section of buyers. As you may have noticed, Apple has matched the pricing of the SE to that of the 6s in India, even though you don't get the 3D touch. So, the new smaller phone is being sold specifically for customers wanting to stick to a smaller screen but wanting better camera and performance. However, there isn't any optical image stabilisation on the SE unlike like the 6s Plus.
