Apple's AirPower could be launching again very soon hints the latest leaked images.

Apple’s AirPower wireless charging mat never saw the light of day. But it looks like Apple hasn’t ditched the project entirely. We saw a leak pop up earlier this March about the AirPower and now a fresh one adds more to it.

This leak comes from Jon Prosser who has been consistently and accurately leaking unreleased Apple products. Prosser posted two photos of the Apple AirPower where it’s charging the Apple Watch and the AirPods. He added in the tweet that this version of the AirPower can charge the Apple Watch too as earlier prototypes couldn’t.

It was Prosser who earlier this March revealed that Apple has started working on the AirPower.

Apple unveiled the AirPower back in 2017 with a scheduled launch for mid-2018. The wireless charging mat was never made commercial with no update from Apple. Later in May 2019, Apple officially confirmed that it does not plan to release the AirPower.

"After much effort, we've concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have canceled the project. We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to push the wireless experience forward," Apple senior vice president of hardware engineering Dan Riccio had said.

Apple reportedly scrapped it as the AirPower which can charge an iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch simultaneously generated an unprecedented amount of heat. This was primarily due to the Apple Watch hogging most of the power. Based on Prosser’s latest tweet, Apple appears to be working on this fix and the AirPower might actually make a comeback.
