The 'Facebook For Every Phone' app claims over 100 million users worldwide, the social network announced. This extremely light application brings Facebook to some 3,000 feature phone models which, unlike smartphones, are not compatible with all of the functions of the full version of the social networking site.

Facebook For Every Phone app is designed primarily for users in emerging markets, where access to affordable feature phones is widespread. In its release the company noted that it has 'partnerships with mobile operators around the world to offer free or discounted data access to Facebook For Every Phone,' which does include News Feed, Messenger and Photos, the social network's 'most popular' functions.

On March 31, 2013, 70 percent of the 1.1 billion active users on Facebook connected from their mobile phones.
