Google has released the first official picture taken with its 'Project Glass' techno-glasses - hi-tech specs that 'layer' computer information over the world.
Project leader Sebastian Thrun took the photo of his son, while spinning him around by his arms, by using the camera built into the arm of the augmented reality glasses.
The image was designed to display the kinds of moments people could capture if they didn't have to fumble for their camera or smartphone.
The wraparound glasses feature a miniature display that sits above the eye and lets users Google search, use GPS tracking, make calls, listen to music, update their diary and take pictures without lifting a finger, News.com.au reported.
They apparently run on a version of the Android operating system.
Project Glass is being tested by Google employees including co-founder Sergei Brin before they hit the market.
