Following his £8 million record transfer to English Premier League soccer side Queens Park Rangers, French player Loic Remy told the club's website that a few games of 'FIFA 12' helped him connect with team owner Tony Fernandes.

QPR, who have 16 matches in which to avoid relegation from the English top flight, paid a club record fee to French side Olympique Marseille for the services of striker Remy, signing him on a four-and-a-half year deal.

Speaking to the QPR club we-bsite, Loic said 'It was a special moment that followed our chat about QPR. We just played a game of 'FIFA' - it was good and showed to me what a good person Tony [Fernandes] is.'

'He showed his human side to me as an owner of the club I wanted to join. It was a special moment for us both.'

Remy picked Bayern Munich as his team, with Fernandes taking charge of Argentina's national side, and comments from QPR Chief Executive Philip Beard revealed that the Air Asia CEO may have shown a bit of hustle, even after transfer negotiations had finished.

Remy won the first match 6-0, but the second saw Fernandes hold his new forward to a 4-4 draw that went to penalties, with Beard noting that 'they had great fun, but Tony told me he let him win!'
