Chinese manufacturer Gionee has launched a new S6 smartphone in India. Priced at 19,999, the smartphone features a sleek full-metal-body that's just 6.9mm thick and 145 grams light. It's currently listed on Flipkart and is available in Silver, Gold and Rose Gold colour options.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display. Powering the smartphone is a 1.3Ghz Mediatek processor bundled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage expandable upto 128GB via microSD slot. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box with the company's Amigo 3.1 UI skin.

Optics on the smartphone include a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

In terms of battery backup, the Gionee S6 is equipped with a 3,150 mAh battery that, the company claims, can offer up to 18 hours of talktime. Connectivity options on the smartphone include dual-SIM support (Micro+Nano), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, along with GPS and 4G LTE. In addition, it also supports USB OTG via the USB Type C port.

Earlier this week, the company also launched its entry-level Pioneer P5W smartphone priced at 6,499.
