'But that's what happens when you have a brand new launch with two companies that have lots of money trying to make sure they have content.'

'Somebody paid a lot of money to make sure that title was exclusive' was his bullish contention, implying that a PC conversion was stalled in the interests of Microsoft and Sony -- though Rockstar and 2K Games also benefit where players buy once on console and again on PC.

Nvidia's Director of Investor Relations had earlier identified 'GTA V' along with 'Call of Duty: Ghosts' and 'Assassin's Creed IV' as 'blockbuster games coming this fall,' though that statement was later retracted.

Still, manufacturers would be in a good position to know, involved as they are in ensuring each game looks good and runs well on their components.
