HP’s device launch may force Microsoft to launch the Surface smartphone
Hewlett-Packard or commonly known as HP may launch a Windows-10 powered phone early next year.
If a report by Bidness Etc is to be believed, the new device which is being called the HP Falcon, may be showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona scheduled for February 22-25.
According to the report, the Falcon will be powered by the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with Adreno 530 graphics processing unit. The device is expected to have a 5.8-quadHD display and powered by a 2GB RAM unit.
Falcon is believed to have 64GB of inbuilt storage and will sport a 20-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel front camera.
According to the report, the launch of HP Falcon will present Windows lovers with more choices and may force Microsoft to go ahead with its Surface smartphone.
The Windows ecosystem is outpaced by the likes of Apple and Android and HP seems to be making losses in most of its divisions. The proof of the device also comes from GFXBench listings where the specifications of the phone were listed earlier.
