HTC's flagship phone just got even better

A new Google promotion will give HTC One and One Max owners up to 50GB of free cloud storage for the next two years.
HTC might be struggling at the moment but its latest flagship handset, the HTC One, has been singled out as the best Android smartphone money can buy in terms of build quality, performance, features and specifications.
In fact the only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't support storage expansion via MicroSD slot.
So when the phone's internal memory is full, it's either time to start deleting files or considering cloud storage.
But now that aspect is being addressed with the latest promotion from Google. It is offering HTC One owners who have upgraded to version 5+ of Sense, HTC's user interface, 25GB of free Google Drive storage for the next two years. And while apps can't be saved to the cloud, 25GB is a lot of songs, photos and cat videos.
What's more, for consumers planning to upgrade to HTC's recently launched phablet, the HTC One Max, Google is offering double -- i.e., 50GB -- of free storage. This is an even better deal because unlike the One, the One Max does have a MicroSD expansion slot.
So, to take advantage of the offer, which is valid until January 2016, simply launch the Google Drive app on your HTC One or One Max and press the redeem button.
However, the offer doesn't extend to the Google edition of the HTC One.
