Samsung's Galaxy Nexus, the 4.7-inch Google Phone, seems to be cursed with indefinite delays as far as the Indian launch is concerned. It was first rumored to be launched in December, and hence we had advised every one to put a hold on a new Android phone's purchase for the festive season. But then it got delayed until January.

Yesterday, Samsung tweeted that they are planning to launch the Galaxy Nexus in March, in India.

India has been very quick in lapping up the Android phones, mostly because the iPhone failed to dominate the price-sensitive market. Additionally, Samsung's Galaxy lines are extremely popular in this market. I suspect that Samsung is waiting to port ICS in most of their phones already available here before they launch the original ICS phone in the market. Because, it is almost certain that anyone who would want an uninhibited Google experience would surely buy the Nexus.
