Chinese smartphone company lephone on Monday launched a new smartphone, lephone W15, in India. Priced at ₹5,499, key features of the smartphone include 22 Indian languages support and 2,000mAh battery.

The dual-SIM device with 5-inch HD IPS screen is powered by 1.3 GHz quad core processor and has 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory, the company said in a statement.

Backed by 2,000mAh battery, the device sports an 8-megapixel rear auto-focus camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera.

The handset offers an eclectic range of emojis and symbols for better text communication and supports 22 Indian regional languages. The device is currently available in gold, rose gold, silver and red colours across offline platforms.

The smartphone will compete against a range of budget Android smartphones such as the Moto C Plus and Redmi 4A. Priced at ₹5,990, the Moto C Plus comes with 5-inch IPS, 16GB built-in storage, MediaTek processor, 2GB of RAM and 4,000mAh battery. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Available online for ₹5,999, the Redmi 4A comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. Other key features of the smartphone include 5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, and 3,120mAh battery.
