Nokia 6 offered on eBay India but here’s why you shouldn’t buy it just yet
HMD Global-promoted Nokia launched the Nokia 6 smartphone in China last month and has seen the handset sell like hot cakes. The company was forced to restock the smartphone three times with e-commerce site JD.com due to the high demand.
The new Nokia 6 smartphone is up for sale on the e-commerce site, eBay.in. But you should be wary of ordering one just yet.
For one, there is nothing official about the listed product as Nokia is yet to announce its launch in India. Also, the product is listed at ₹32,440, almost twice the price of what it costs in China. HMD Global had launched Nokia 6 last month at about ₹17,000 in China (CNY 1699).
Moreover, HMD Global, which own Nokia, said the smartphone was only for the Chinese market. A reseller on eBay claims that the phone will only be delivered 25 days after the booking.
Nokia is expected to announce a few smartphones at MWC 2017 that will include Android and feature phones. Nokia 6 has seen a large success in China and the demand had forced HMD Global to restock their supply three times with the e-commerce site JD.com which was selling the smartphone.
In its first flash sale, the Nokia 6 smartphone reportedly went out of stock in a minute. In the meanwhile, the Nokia 6 second flash sale saw 1.4 million registrations.
In terms of specification, the Nokia 6 comes powered with a bright hybrid in-cell display at a fHD screen of 5.5-inch protected by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass. In terms of power, the 6 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with X6 LTE modem. It has a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage combo running Android Nougat.
The phone also comes with Dolby Atmos and dual amplifiers that claims to deliver over 6dB louder sound than a regular amp, giving higher voice, deeper bass and unmatched clarity. In terms of optics, Nokia 6 packs a 16-megapixel phase detection auto focus rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera.
