Ola to launch new EV on August 15
Ola had previously teased an Ola electric car a couple of months ago. Many are suggesting that Ola could reveal its plans related to its first electric car, which is expected to reach the market in a few years.

At the moment, the focus seems to be on its electric scooters. The upcoming variant of Ola S1 scooter could most likely aim for a lower price tag, thereby making it more accessible for Indian consumers to own the EV. However, the lower price could also see Ola cutting down on a couple of smart feature that made the S1 Pro standout. The most obvious compromises can be expected in terms of battery range and lesser smart features.
For example, the Ola S1 with its lower price misses out on the Cruise Control, the Hyper Mode, and a lower overall range. Will Ola cut down on the onboard speakers, disc brakes, and LED headlights to cut down on the price? We will have to wait and see.
We had recently tested the Ola S1 Pro with the Move OS 2 update and we were able to see big improvements on the scooter. The scooter got navigation from MayMyIndia, got its speaker activated, a new companion app to lock and unlock the scooter, and the cruise control.
