OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 launch date to be announced on April 23

OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro will finally have an official launch date. OnePlus is expected to launch OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones. The company could also unveil its 5G smartphone.

OnePlus 7 is getting close to its launch. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed the launch date for the company's next product will be announced on April 23.

"Stay tuned next Tuesday for our launch event announcement," tweeted Pete Lau. Prior to this, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro were tipped to launch on May 14. The launch event is said to take place in three venues globally including Bengaluru in India.

This pre-launch announcement comes shortly after OnePlus shared the first teaser for its next flagship smartphone. Lau stressed the next OnePlus flagship will be "fast and smooth". The teaser also confirmed the new OnePlus phone will feature a curved display.

This confirms leaks of OnePlus 7 Pro featuring a curved display similar to Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10+. The 'Pro' version is expected to launch alongside the OnePlus 7. According to leaks, OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a 6.64-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED curved display. OnePlus 7 Pro display could also have a high refresh rate of 90Hz.

OnePlus 7 Pro will be a major upgrade with a pop-up selfie snapper and a triple-camera setup. The smartphone could offer a 48-megapixel camera along with a telephoto lens and ultra-wide lens. It will also house a 4,000mAh battery along with 30W Warp Charge. More features of OnePlus 7 pro include USB 3.1, stereo speakers and better vibration motor.

As for OnePlus 7, the smartphone is said to launch with a 6.4-inch flat display and a waterdrop-styled notch. The smartphone will sport a dual-camera setup and a 48-megapixel as the primary sensor, like the OnePlus 7 Pro.
