Idea Nirvana migration to Vodafone Red complete in 8 circles, delayed in 4
Third phase of the migration process has been delayed.
Vodafone has successfully completed the second phase of migration of Idea's postpaid, users covered under its Nirvana plan, to Vodafone Red umbrella.
According to a report by OnlyTech, Vodafone has successfully completed the migration process in Mumbai, Gujarat, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Punjab, and Rajasthan. This change can also be seen on the Idea website in the mentioned circles. If users visit the Idea Nirvana website in any of these circles, they are automatically redirected to the Vodafone Red website.
The migration of Idea Nirvana customers to Vodafone Red was completed by March 9. This was scheduled to be followed by phase 2, which included Gujarat, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Punjab, and Rajasthan. The phase 2 migration was scheduled to be completed by April 6. However, it was delayed until May 11 owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The second phase of the process was scheduled to be followed by Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in the third phase. This migration was scheduled to be completed by April 20. However, the new report says that this date has now been postponed to June 8.
The third phase of the migration process will be followed by Delhi, UP East, UP West, Kolkata, West Bengal, Assam and North East in the fourth phase. This phase is likely to be rescheduled towards the end of June or early July. The report says that Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Goa and Maharashtra are not scheduled for migration yet.
