Reliance begins shipping of JioPhone; here’s how you can track your order

Reliance Jio on Sunday started shipping its JioPhone to 6 million customers who booked the smart feature phone last month. The first batch will be delivered to customers within 15 days. The company will be giving priority to rural areas followed by smaller towns and metro cities.

Reliance Jio has promised that all customers who had pre-booked the JioPhone will receive the units by Diwali. Reliance Jio has not yet announced when it will resume booking of the JioPhone. If you are one of the lucky customers to have booked the smart feature phone, here's how you can track the order.

One of the easiest ways to track the order is by simply visiting www.jio.com/shop/viewOrderDetails. Enter your order number and click on the track details.

You can also check the delivery status via MyJio application. Within the app, there's an option to track the order. Enter your order number and tap the "track order" and. Another way is to call Jio customer support - 18008908900 - and follow the instructions on IVR to track the order.

Though Reliance Jio will be keeping users updated about their delivery status through SMS notifications on the registered mobile number.

The Reliance JioPhone was unveiled at the company's 40th annual general meeting earlier this year. The smart feature phone comes with 4G and VoLTE support, allowing users to browse internet as well as make voice over LTE network.

The device comes with a voice-based assistant that allows users to browse internet as well as perform tasks such as making a call to a contact or sending an SMS. It also supports NFC connectivity for digital payments. The smart feature is bundled with Jio suite of applications such as JioCinema, JioTV and JioGames among others.

The Reliance JioPhone is priced at ₹1,500, which is refundable after three years. Customers who had pre-booked the smartphone last month needed to pay ₹500 and are supposed to pay the remaining ₹1,000 upon delivery of the unit.
