The largest Android tablet in the world has a 98-inch screen
And a subwoofer. And a penta-core thin client running on Android 8. And it costs $9,499 if you are really interested.
If you are one of those people who has qualms with tablet displays not being big enough, meet the ViewSonic IFP9850 4K Ultra HD Display. aT 98 inches, it is one of the largest monitors with a touchscreen that you can buy. So imagine a VERY big tablet that has 20-point touch and a surface area that is equivalent to four 50-inch TV sets. But it's not a TV.
It's been made primarily for schools (think large-scale classrooms) and businesses but it also works well for interactive multimedia content for live audiences at events, conferences etc. The ViewSonic IFP9850 comes integrated with myViewBoard annotation software and ViewBoard Cast streaming support so you can use it for real-time content collaboration and sharing.
And given its massive size, it can be used for display signage or as a large format panel.
The ViewSonic IFP9850 also comes with two 10W speakers and a 15W subwoofer along with a fully-embedded penta-core thin client that runs Android 8. It has 3GB of memory and 16GB of storage.
This ‘tablet' ships with a three-year warranty on backlight and parts and there is also onsite warranty. And if you do the math it costs much less than a 98-inch TV from Samsung or Sony. You can also upgrade the ViewSonic IFP9850 with a display stand card, a slot-in PC and a wireless module.
If you want to connect the ViewSonic IFP9850 to anything else you have an option of three audio ports, seven USB ports, four HDMI slots, one GbE LAN port, one VGA and one RS232 serial connector.
Now, the ViewSonic IFP9850 is only available in the US, so let's not get too excited here. It also costs $9,499, so, you know.
