Slow-motion CGI and gameplay footage combine in the launch trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man video game, as Spidey propels himself into battle against Rhino, Black Cat, Lizard, Vermin and Scorpion.

Lizard, whose public persona is that of corporate scientist Dr. Curt Connors, will appears in the Amazing Spider-Man film when it hits cinemas from early July onwards.

The game is street dated for June 26 in North America and for June 29 in Europe on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo 3DS, DS and Wii.

DC Comics and its owner Warner Bros have another Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, coming late July, with a Lego Batman 2 video game already available, and both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City established as the more mature Caped Crusader games of choice.
