For now the feature is only available to Android users. But in the coming weeks it will also be rolled out to iOS users. The app version that includes this new feature is WhatsApp 2.17.111. Also read click here. The rolled back feature allows users to upload short video and pictures and share it with their friends making it similar to that of the Snapchat and Instagram stories. For some time, WhatsApp had removed the option for adding text to the status but not many users likedf it. However, the text status rollback update is gradual and can be availed once the app is ready to take an update and the user downloads it.
