Wordpress has launched WordPress 3.3, the latest version of their blogging platform, which includes some new and improved user interface features and a new drag-and-drop image uploader.

Wordpress has launched WordPress 3.3, the latest version of their blogging platform, which includes some new and improved user interface features and a new drag-and-drop image uploader.

The version, named 'Sonny' in honor of the great jazz saxophonist Sonny Stitt - is immediately available for download or update inside your WordPress dashboard.

'WordPress has had over 65 million downloads since version 3.0 was released, and in this third major iteration we've added significant polish around the new user experience, navigation, uploading, and imports,' creator Matt Mullenweg wrote on WordPress.org.

The updated version also provides iPad optimization, a new toolbar, menus that allow users to hover the cursor over them from navigation help, and a Tumblr importer.
