Twitter under Elon Musk! Will the social media platform fly high or will it lose its charm? That's a question that remains to be answered over the due course of time. However, Elon Musk wants to make some big changes to Twitter and he wants them to be implemented fast. Hence, Musk now has apparently set a serious deadline for his employees and if they fail to meet that, they could end up losing up their jobs.

In a report from CNBC, it is said that managers at Twitter have been advised to work for extra hours before meeting Elon Musk's tight deadline. “Managers at Twitter have instructed some employees to work 12-hour shifts, seven days a week, in order to hit Musk's aggressive deadlines, according to internal communications,” the report stated. “Task completion by the early November deadline is seen as a make-or-break matter for their careers at Twitter,” he added. It is said that Elon Musk is internally threatening 50 percent layoffs to force the employees to comply with the order.

Musk warns to sack Twitter employees

The report also says that employees are asked to work for extra hours without any discussion about “overtime pay or comp time, or about job security.” The engineering team has been given a deadline of early November to meet the requirements, failing which they could lose their job.

Musk has plans to revamp Twitter, promoting free speech and making it more accessible for everyone. Musk also floated the idea of increasing the price of Twitter Blue subscription and at the same time, wants to introduce a revised verification process for the Blue tick, wherein members will have to pay the price.

Musk also fired the top management at Twitter to make the changes possible. Ex-CEO Parag Agarwal along with the management team and the engineering team was sacked.
