Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, Mi Note 3, Mi Notebook Pro launched: Price, specs, features
The Mi MIX 2 aims to redefine bezel-less smartphones with an improved full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
Xiaomi on Monday launched the much-awaited Mi MIX 2 smartphone in China. The company also unwrapped the Mi Note 3, a mid-range smartphone, along with a Mi Notebook Pro laptop.

As the name suggests, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is the successor to the last year's Mi MIX smartphone, which had grabbed everyone's attention for its near bezel-less display. The latest generation Mi MIX features a better 18:9 screen ratio and comes with improved design elements. The smartphone is said to be 11.5% lighter and 11.9% slimmer than the predecessor.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 comes with a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with 2160×1080 pixels resolution and 403ppi pixel density. The smartphone runs on Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 out-of-the-box. It is powered by Qualcomm's top-end Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 540 GPU.
In the camera department, the MI MIX 2 sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with IMX386 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and 5P lens. The smartphone has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that supports full HD video recording.
Other key features of the MI MIX 2 include Bluetooth 5.0, 3,400mAh battery with Quick Charge support and fingerprint sensor on the back.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is available in multiple storage variants - 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. The three variants are priced at RMB 3,299 (₹32,400 approximately), RMB 3,599 (₹35,000 approximately) and RMB 3,999 (₹39,000) respectively.
Xiaomi has also launched a limited edition Mi MIX 2, which is priced at RMB 4,699 (₹39,000 approximately). The limited edition comes with a ceramic body in contrast to the metal body on the regular variant. It has 128GB of built-in storage and a massive 8GB of RAM.

Just like the MI MIX 2, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is the successor to the 2016's Mi Note 2. The new version comes with a facial recognition feature for biometric authentication, similar to what we've seen on the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8. Apple is expected to include a similar facial recognition feature on its new iPhones.
The Mi Note 3 has a 5.5-inch display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. It runs on Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 out-of-the-box.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 sports a dual-rear camera featuring a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. Key camera features include OIS, 2X optical zoom and DSLR-like depth-of-field effect. It has a 16-megapixel front facing camera. Xiaomi says the camera uses adaptive Artificial Intelligence in order to deliver better pictures from the front snapper.
Other important features include 3,500mAh battery, Bluetooth, NFC and USB Type-C for fast charging.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro: Specifications, features
The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is available in three variants based on the different versions of Intel SoC and RAM size. While one model runs on Intel Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM, the two other models feature Intel Core i7 SoC with 8GB of RAM and Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM. The three models are priced at CNY 6,999 (₹68,000 approximately), CNY 6,399 (₹62,000 approximately) and CNY 5,599 (₹54,000 approximately).
