Xiaomi is set to launch new selfie camera phone in India next week. Part of the Redmi Y series, the new Xiaomi smartphone will sport 32-megapixel selfie camera. Ahead of the official launch, Xiaomi has released a drop-test video of Redmi Y3.

The video reveals dual-camera setup on the back on Redmi Y3. The phone is also seen sporting a gradient back panel, similar to Realme and Honor phones in the budget segment. On the front it has a notch display. The cutout design is similar to curvier and smaller notch on Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 phones.

For durability test, Redmi Y3 is thrown in a wastebasket and then thrown on stairs. As expected, the phone survives without any visible damage.

Redmi Y3 will succeed the popular Redmi Y2 smartphone which launched in India last year. Available online for 10,999, Redmi Y2 features a 16-megapixel selfie camera. On the back it has a dual-camera setup of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors.

Redmi Y2 sports a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It runs on Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. It is powered by a 3,080mAh battery. It also features rear fingerprint sensor along with facial recognition for security.
