Step 1:

Open your iPhone and go to the Note or a written block of text to bring up your keyboard.

Step 2:

Now, press and hold your finger down on the space key until the keyboard goes blank. 

Step 3:

You will see the cursor getting enlarged for a second, which means the keyboard is ready to be used as a trackpad.

Step 4:

Keep your finger pressed down and move it around the keyboard to position your cursor, similar to the Mac's trackpad.

Step 5:

Place the cursor by lifting your finger off the screen and use other keys to delete or edit the text. If you want to move the cursor again, repeat the above mentioned process to bring up the hidden trackpad.
