Zoom launches Zoom Events for in-person video conferencing experience
Zoom Events will replace the company's OnZoom platform.
Video conferencing platform Zoom has launched a new virtual platform for hosting large events. The newly launched platform is called Zoom Events and it replaces the OnZoom event, which the company launched last year for hosting small business events.
The newly launched platform has a bunch of new features that are aimed at making large events easy. Users can build their own hubs, manage ticketing and registration, use a single dashboard to manage all accesses, and get all statistics pertaining to an event.
Zoom says that its newly introduced platform will give users the ability to host multi-day summits to multi-track conferences. Users will also be able to sell tickets and track attendance using the new platform. For understanding, with Zoom Events, users can easily host a multi-tiered event like Google I/O via a single platform.
In a statement to The Verge, the company said that with Zoom Events, the company aims to improve the experience for enterprise customers by allowing them to split large conferences into multiple sessions.
In addition to this, Zoom Events will also feature video event previews and allow people to chat outside a typical video call enabling them to see and participate in a chat with people in the lobby before a conference begins.
That said, this platform isn't available for use just yet. It will be available soon.
