OPPO is a Chinese electronics firm founded by Chen Mingyong in 2001 and is headquartered in Dongguan. Oppo Electronics was BBK Electronics' first sub-brand. Incorporated in 2004, the company quickly established a reputation for supplying high-quality Blu-ray players, amplifiers, and headphones. In
2008, it entered the phone market with the Smile Phone, which was exclusively available in China at first. With the debut of the OPPO N1, the world's first smartphone with a swivel camera, the company entered the Indian smartphone market in 2014.
OPPO's smartphones have a history with camera-related breakthroughs. The OPPO N1 featured a swivel camera module that could revolve all the way around. The phone was able to employ a single camera for both the rear and front cameras as a result of this. The OPPO N3 had a revolving camera as well, but this time it was powered by a motor. The OPPO F3 Plus was one of the first phones to include twin front cameras for selfies. It was also one of the first smartphone manufacturers to introduce dual rear cameras. OPPO released the Find X smartphone in 2018, making it the first phone to use a mechanical pop-up camera module.
OPPO Reno6 5G, which is the company’s latest offering, is priced at Rs. 29,990. It comes in two colours and is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G Chipset. Reno6 5G comes with a 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charger.
Apart from smartphones, the company also sells earbuds, smartwatches, fitness bands and power banks.
