Apple iPhone 13 to come in same four sizes as iPhone 12: Kuo

It’s not even been a month since the new iPhones launched but we already have reports on next year’s iPhones. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 13 series in the same four sizes as the iPhone 12. Kuo has also shared what Apple will lay focus on for the next-gen iPhones.

Kuo’s latest research note as seen by Mac Rumors, says that Apple will launch four iPhone 13 models. All four iPhone 13 models will have the same size as the current iPhone 12 series. Apple launched the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max in 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch sizes. Kuo adds that there will be major improvements to the camera technology of the upcoming iPhones.

The high-end models of the iPhone 13 series presumably iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will have upgradhted ultra-wide sensors with f/1.8 aperture, 6P lens, and autofocus. Kuo adds that Largan could supply around 70% of the voice coil motors for the ultra wide cameras on the iPhone 13. Also, the same cameras are expected on the future iPhone 14 models.

Kuo also shared a positive outlook for the iPhone 13 sale. He predicted shipments for the iPhone 13 to increase year-on-year which will be driven by more widespread 5G connectivity, timely September launch and the upgraded cameras. Apple launched the iPhone 12 in October this year due to production delays caused by the pandemic.
