Infinix Smart 5 launched in India, priced at ₹7,199

Infinix on Thursday announced the launch of a new handset in India. Called Infinix Smart 5, the smartphone is priced at ₹7,199. It will be available for purchase online via Flipkart from February 18. The handset comes in Morandi Green, 7-degree Purple, Aegean Blue, and Obsidian Black colour options.

Infinix is also bundling an additional Jio offer with benefits worth ₹4,000. This includes 40 Jio cashback vouchers worth ₹2,000 (Voucher of ₹50 each on prepaid recharge of ₹349) and partner brand coupons worth ₹2,000.

The smartphone comes with a 6.82-inch HD+ cinematic Drop Notch display and a 90.66% screen-to-body ratio. The screen has 20:5:9 aspect ratio, 440 nits of brightness, and 1500:1 contrast ratio.|#+|

For performance, Smart 5 relies on MediaTek’s Helio G25 octa-core processor with clock speed up to 2.0Ghz. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. The phone also has a microSD card slot that supports expandable storage up to 256GB. A 6,000mAh battery powers the phone. Infinix claims the battery gives a standby time of more than 50 days, delivering up to 23 hours of nonstop video playback, 53 hours of 4G talk time, 155 hours of music playback, 23 hours of web surfing and 14 hours of gaming.

In the photography department, Smart 5 has 13-megapixel AI dual rear cameras with a “quad-LED flash” along with an f/1.8 aperture. The camera also supports slow-motion video recording. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.

Other important features of the phone are 3 card slots (Dual nano-SIM + Micro SD), dual 4G VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0.
