Lava has launched a new entry-level smartphone in India. Called Lava Z61 Pro, the smartphone is priced at ₹5,774. It comes in Midnight Blue and Amber Red colour options.
Lava Z61 Pro comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ full view screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera has features like Portrait Mode (Bokeh), Burst mode, Panorama, Filters, Beauty mode, HDR and Night mode.
Lava Z61 Pro is powered by a 3,100mAh battery. The phone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 128GB.
The smartphone is equipped with a face-unlock feature which is claimed to unlock the device in just 0.60 seconds. On the connectivity front, the smartphone features Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS, dual-SIM, OTG support and a micro USB port.

Lava’s new phone will compete with a range of under ₹7,000 smartphones India. Some of its closest competitors are Realme C2, Xiaomi Redmi 8A, Vivo Y911i and Galaxy J series.
