Moto G9 Plus turns up on BIS Certification site, India launch imminent

The Moto G9 Plus has turned up on the Indian Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website indicating that the lunch here is going to happen soon. The smartphone was launched in Brazil in September this year and now the company is getting the device to India.

Just to remind you, the Moto G9 model is already available in India and the Moto G9 Power is expected to launch around the second week of December.

The Moto G9 Plus was spotted on the BIS website by MySmartPrice and the phone has been listed with model numbers XT2083-7 and XT2087-3.

There is no clarity yet about when exactly the phone is going to be launched here, but it is expected to be soon. It is possible that the Moto G9 Plus might launch alongside the Moto G9 Power which is expected to launch around the second week of December, we’ll just have to wait and watch.

The Moto G9 Plus was launched in Brazil with a price tag of BRL 2,249.10 which is ₹31,000 approximately for the 4GB/128GB model. The pricing in India might be similar. The Moto G9 Plus was launched in two colours in Brazil - Indigo and Rose Gold - and Motorola might offer those two here as well.

Specifications wise, the Moto G9 Plus comes with a 6.8-inch Full HD+ Max Vision display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC under the hood. It has a quad camera setup on the back which includes a 64MP primary shooter, a 8MP 118-degrees wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP shooter on the front. The fingerprint sensor is on the side.

The smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 30W TurboPower fast charging support. The connectivity options on the Moto G9 Plus includes Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 ac, GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
