Oppo Reno 8 coming to India and this is the variant WE are getting

The Oppo Reno 8 series is coming to India in a few weeks' time, suggest a recent leak. The Reno 8 series was recently revealed in the Chinese market as Oppo's newest offering in the premium smartphone segment. The series consists of three models, which included the Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, Reno 8 Pro+. It is said that the Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 Pro+ will make it to India as the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro respectively, while the Chinese Reno 8 is less likely to make it to India.

Based on a recent tip from leakster Paras Guglani, it is said that the Reno 8 series will be available in two storage variants – a base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the top-end variant will come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. He also says the phone will be available in Shimmer Black and Blue colours. The phone will also come with 7 5G bands.

Oppo Reno 8 series specs at a glance

The vanilla Oppo Reno 8 is powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, and is assisted by ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box.The phone features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. When it comes to the cameras, the Oppo Reno 8 has a 50MP primary camera, along with two other 2MP secondary cameras.

The Oppo Reno 8 price starts at CNY 2499 (approximately Rs. 29,200) for the basic model of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone is also available in two more variants – one with 8GB RAM with 256GB memory, and 12GB RAM along with 256GB of storage priced at CNY 2699 and CNY 2999 respectively.

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro is the more powerful chipset powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. It gets the 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with an upgraded refresh rate 120Hz. It has a rear triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP microsensor. The Reno 8 Pro starts at CNY 2999 (around Rs. 35,000).

Lastly, the range topping model one in the series, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+, has a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 MAX chipset under the hood and is paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The phone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup remains unchanged from the regular Pro model. The Reno 8 Pro+ is priced at CNY 3699 (around Rs. 43,200) for 8GB RAM and 256GB memory, while another option is 12GB of RAM with 256GB storage variant which comes at CNY 3999.
