Samsung Galaxy F42 5G could launch soon: Here’s what to expect

Rumoured Samsung Galaxy F42 5G has made an appearance on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification site. The listing does not reveal any important specs but confirms the imminent launch of the phone.

The listing shows the phone bears model code SM-E426B/DS. It further reveals the phone will come with support for 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity.

According to a GSMArena report, Samsung Galaxy F42 5G will be a repackaged Galaxy M42 5G, which launched last month. Basis this, you can expect the phone to come with a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display. 

Other expected features are a 5000mAh battery with 15W charging support, an in-display fingerprint reader, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G SoC. In the camera department, it may have a 20-megapixel selfie shooter. On the back, it could come with a combination of 48-megapixel, 8-megapixel, 5-megapixel (macro), and 5-megapixel (depth) sensors.

Interestingly, Samsung is working on a new Galaxy M52 5G handset. The phone is said to be a repackaged version of the Galaxy F52 5G, which too launched recently. According to rumours, Samsung Galaxy M52 5G will have a 6.6-inch display with an FHD+ screen and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G processor with 8GB of RAM. It will come with 128GB of built-in storage.

For photography, the phone will have a 64-megapixel primary sensor along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The smartphone could also house a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies.

That said, there is no word on when the two rumoured phones will officially debut. We’re likely to hear more about the upcoming phones in the coming days. Until then, stay tuned.
