Samsung Galaxy S21 FE launch date revealed? Don't hold your breath

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has been in the news for quite some time now for all the wrong reasons. Reports in the past have given a varied timeline as to when the smartphone would make a debut in the market with some going as far as saying that the phone has been killed owing to the ongoing global chip crisis. While Samsung never officially acknowledged that the phone had been 'killed', reports continued hinting that. Then new life was breathed into the phone when a leakster claimed that the Galaxy S21 FE will launch in 2022. Now, a new report gives us a better idea as to when the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE launch will happen.

SamMobile reports that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 Fan Edition or FE smartphone will launch in January 2022. However, it will not launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphones that are typically launched in January. Instead, the report suggests that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone at the Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2022.

CES 2022 will take place from January 5 to January 8 in Las Vegas. The report says that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S21 FE at CES 2022, which is almost a year after the Korean electronics giant launched the Galaxy S21 series smartphones and almost six-months later than its expected launch time.

Interestingly, it has been a long time since Samsung launched a smartphone at CES. With the show being dedicated to a host of devices across categories, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21 FE smartphone is bound to create a buzz among the attendees. That said, Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything yet and so all these details should be taken with a pinch of salt till the company gives more definitive proof of its plans for the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is tipped to come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and be backed by a 4,500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging. It is expected to run on Android 12-based One UI 4.0.
