Samsung makes Galaxy Flip 5G’s support page live before launch

Call it an indirect announcement or whatever, but Samsung’s rumoured flip phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G’s support page has gone live on the company’s South Korea website. The listing shows the model number of the rumoured 5G foldable smartphone as SM-F707N. Unfortunately, the listing, besides confirming the existence of the products, doesn’t reveal anything else including specifications. However, its recent listing on Tenaa has spilled some beans. Tenaa certification also means that the smartphone will be coming to China soon.

As it has been mentioned in several previous reports, the Galaxy Z FLip 5G will be coming in as many as six variants. The listing on Tenaa suggests it to sport a 1.05-inch secondary screen with two batteries that have 2500mAh and 704mAh respectively. This is also slightly less than the 3300mAh battery that is sported by its 4G variant.

Some other specifications of the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Z FLip 5G include the Snapdragon 865+ SoC, which hasn’t been launched yet, along with a6.7-inch primary AMOLED display and 2636x1080 pixels. Also, the secondary screen in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G will be smaller than the one found in the current 4G version.

Samsung is said to officially introduce the product along with the Galaxy Watch 3 and some others including the Bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Some time in July or later this year along side the Galaxy Note series. There is no word on this for now.

In related news, tipster Ice Universe has posted an image showing the Galaxy Fold 2. The leaked render shows the smartphone’s front opened. The entire area will be a screen like the current Galaxy Fold model but there won’t be any notch. Instead, you will only see a punch hole camera on the top of the right screen. It is also not for sure then this will be launched.
