1. Read WhatsApp messages without letting the sender k
If you have 'read receipts' turned on, then the sender will always be notified when you read their messages. But if you want to do this without letting them know, there is a way. Once you receive the message, turn on Airplane Mode and then open and read the chat. You can then exit WhatsApp and clear post from recent apps too. Then all you have to do is turn off Airplane Mode, and the sender won’t know you’ve read their message.
2. Pin WhatsApp chats
WhatsApp is regularly used for different purposes so it may happen that we have multiple chats in the app. Important chats can sometimes get buried in the list because of new chats. To make sure you always find important chats easily, you can pin them on WhatsApp. You can long press or swipe on the chat to pin it so it always stays on top of your chat list.
3. Create WhatsApp GIFs
WhatsApp lets you send GIFs from Tenor and Giphy. In case you didn’t know, you can create your own GIFs on WhatsApp itself. You can make a GIF from a video that’s saved on your phone. First open a chat and select the video you want to send. You will see the video editing screen before hitting the send button. Here, adjust the video length to 6 seconds or less and then select the GIF option. Your video will be sent as a GIF. Note that GIFs can be made only for videos with 6 seconds duration.
4. Edit WhatsApp images
Similarly, you can edit images within WhatsApp too. There are many editing tools like cropping the photo, adding stickers and emoji, coloured text and doodling as well. To do this you have to first select the image you want to send and then you will see the WhatsApp photo editor. The editing tools are on top of the screen.
5. Hide WhatsApp Web notification
When you use WhatsApp, there’s a persistent notification on your phone. It will disappear only after you’ve disconnected WhatsApp Web. You can do this by going to the settings menu on your phone, and searching for WhatsApp under the Apps section. Then select notifications, and scroll down to find ‘other notifications’. Now just turn this off and the WhatsApp Web notification will disappear.
