Ever since the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge hit shelves, it has been making headlines because of its 120W fast charging solution that can top up the phone’s battery in no time. While Xiaomi claims that it takes 15 minutes to be fully charged, in reality, it may not be a consistent speed and takes more than 15 minutes to fully charge. However, it is still the fastest charging phone in India at the moment. While its superfast feature is being hyped, the rest of the specifications have taken a back seat. Well! At such a price, there is a good amount of competition that Xiaomi has to face. Samsung Galaxy M52 5G which was launched a few months back is one of the top ones on the list. Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge features an AMOLED display at 120Hz, while Samsung offers a better Super Amoled display.

Design & Build

Let’s start with the design and build of both the smartphones. While talking about design and build quality, Xiaomi clearly underlines its supremacy with its boxy design, flat edges and glass back look. Though the fit and finish isn’t that great, it still looks better than the "boring" Samsung Galaxy M52. The latter looks dull and boring with a plastic back and a tacky pattern design. Galaxy M52 also lacks headphone jack and has just one speaker while Xiaomi 11i hypercharge offers a 3.5mm headphone jack along with dual speakers. The one thing that Galaxy M52 managed really well is its weight of 173 Gram and slimmer design that makes it comfortable to use.

Display

Samsung is a winner here with its Super AMOLED display having a refresh rate of 120Hz. That’s not to say that the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge’s display is subpar as it also features a bright and sharp AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. However, Samsung’s display is more colourful and looks vibrant.

Performance

Both the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge and the Samsung Galaxy M 52 rely on powerful chipsets from respective manufacturers. The Xiaomi 11i hypercharge is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset which has an octa-core CPU and Mali-G68 GPU. On the other hand, Samsung uses a Snapdragon 778 chip. Although both phones have support for 5G, the Galaxy M52 is faster and well optimised when it comes down to playing gaming and graphics intensive tasks.

As for RAM and storage, the Galaxy M52 comes with 6 or 8GB of RAM and 128 of internal storage while the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge comes with 6 or 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal storage.

Then Xiaomi gives better battery life and offers a great audio experience with its dual speakers.

Cameras

Both the Xiaomi 11i hypercharge and Galaxy M52 come with capable cameras. Though Xiaomi’s camera has 68% more megapixels (MP) than Samsung Galaxy M52 5G (8GB RAM + 128GB), it is the Galaxy M52 that offers more versatility with ultra-wide cameras and macro sensors. Samsung gives more real pictures while Xiaomi performs better in low light conditions and gives more color saturated tones.

When it comes to the front camera, the Galaxy M52 has a slight edge with its 32 MP f/2 with Screen Flash camera system. The Xiaomi 11i hypercharge’s 16 MP f/2.45 camera lags in compared to Samsung.

Battery

No competition here! The Xiaomi 11i hypercharge is the clear winner. Based on our reviews of the Xiaomi 11i hypercharge and Galaxy M52, we arrived at the conclusion that Xiaomi 11i lives up to its hype of being the fastest charging phone with 120w fast charging support. Though it doesn’t get fully charged in 15 minutes, it takes around 20 minutes on an average to go from 0 to 100% charge. Also, it gives a longer battery life than the Galaxy M52.
