Xiaomi teases the launch of Redmi 10 with 50MP quad cameras

Xiaomi looks to be all set to launch its Redmi 10 smartphone. The announcement seems just around the corner since Xiaomi has teased the arrival of the device. The company took to Twitter to reveal the official teaser poster. It reveals that the Redmi 10 will have a quad rear camera setup. Moreover, the text on the camera module confirms that Redmi’s next offering will have a 50MP primary sensor. The poster also shows Redmi 10 in three colour options, one of them is a gradient model. Xiaomi could announce the launch date of its next Redmi smartphone in the coming days. Here’s all we know about the handset so far.

Xiaomi recently accidentally leaked the specs of its upcoming Redmi 10. After a day, it has officially teased the smartphone on Twitter. The global Xiaomi account uploaded the teaser, which has revealed several details. As per the poster, Redmi 10 will sport a 50MP quad camera setup on the back. It is said to use AI to enhance the photography experience. Further, it will come in Grey, White and Blue colour options. According to the leaked information, these colours will be called Carbon Gray, Pebble White, Sea Blue.

The 50MP primary camera could be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens and two 2MP sensors for your depth and macro needs. On the front could lie an 8MP selfie shooter. Redmi 10 is tipped to feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD with a hole punch cutout. It is likely to have support for adaptive refresh rate - going up to 90Hz with options for 45Hz and 60Hz. It could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity G88 SoC. The smartphone is rumoured to have p to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We can assume that Xiaomi could launch the Redmi 10 in these storage variants - 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB and 6GB+ 128GB storage.

The Redmi 10 might pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging. However, it will ship with a 22.5W fast charger in the box. Plus, you will get a headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It will run Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top.
