Airtel ties up with Voot to bring more content for Xstream users

Airtel is gradually expanding content catalogue for its Xstream users. The latest offering is Voot, a popular video-on-demand streaming platform. The OTT platform will be across platforms -- on TV over the Airtel Xstream Box as part of the Airtel Xstream Bundle, on the smartphone with the Airtel Xstream app, and on PC at the official website.

With the latest partnership, Voot will bring its full content suite including movies, originals, new episodes of shows from MTV India, Colors, and other Viacom-18 TV channels. Some of the popular content includes Splitsvilla, MTV Roadies, Naagin, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, Choti Sarrdaarni, Bahu Begum, Bepannah in Hindi, the upcoming season of Bigg Boss as well as regional language shows.

For English users, Voot will bring shows such as Feet Up with Stars, Work it Up with Sophie, BFF’s with Vogue, VH1 Inside Access with Miss Malini, Urban Wanderers and Trend Setters to Xstream users.

Voot is available in as many as seven languages - English, Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi.

Airtel says the latest partnership increases content library to over 10,000 movies, shows and hundreds of Live TV channels.

The latest announcement comes after the company announced the launch of Airtel Xstream Bundle. Available with a starting price of ₹499 per month, Airtel is offering Airtel Stream Xstream 4K TV box which also supports broadband connectivity.

The Android 4K TV Box gives access to 550 TV channels and OTT content from the Airtel Xstream app that includes over 10,000 movies and shows aggregated across 7 OTT apps and 5 studios into one.

Airtel also offers two premium plans, priced at ₹1,499 and ₹3,999 respectively. The plans offer 300Mbps and 1Gbps data speeds respectively. Freebies include unlimited data and calls and Airtel Xstream OTT app, Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video and Zee5.
